“EXPORTABLE” COMBAT TRAINING SERVICES (2008)

Orlando Florida, 30 July, 2008 – Coalescent Technologies announced today that it had been awarded a contract for US Army National Guard (ARNG) training support with a total contract value of $9,934,346. Coalescent and its subcontractors will provide the ARNG with instrumentation and battlefield immersion support for the conduct of the eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) 2008-02 (08-02) “rotation”.

Specifically, the Coalescent Team will provide IT/Instrumentation capability using the FlexTrain instrumentation suite, battlefield effects, role player, civilians on the battlefield (COB), mobile Military Operations on Urban Terrain (MOUT) support, mobile After Action Review (AAR) post exercise analysis and reporting, and overall IT and integration support for each of these elements.

With the current reality of the National Guard’s operational tempo, along with the limited availability of the fixed Combat Training Centers (CTCs) for unit training, it is mission critical that the Army Guard has an effective and efficient way to train their Soldiers. The ARNG has several efforts underway which are focused on meeting these critical training needs.  Among these programs and initiatives are the:  XCTC, the Mobile Virtual Training Capability (MVTC), and the FlexTrain capability.

Coalescent’s subcontractor Team in this work includes Allied Container Systems (www.alliedcontainer.com), and SRI International (www.SRI.com). This represents a seasoned and previously successful contractor support Team which has provided exceptional training system support to the ARNG in previous ARNG training exercises.
