National Guard Bureau Expands Use Of MVTC™ Simulation System

Orlando, Florida, 12 April, 2007 -  Coalescent Technologies announced today that the National Guard Bureau, with congressional assistance, has decided to not only expand its purchase of the Mobile Virtual Training Capability (MVTC™) training system, but also to increase its field support over the next 12 months. The MVTC™ is a pc-based synthetic training system developed by Coalescent Technologies and currently in use at selected mobilization and training locations throughout the Army National Guard. The virtual training system allows a solider to enhance their decision-making skills at the small-unit level and to independently react to situations that ultimately may have a much larger tactical, operational, or even strategic effect than might be initially apparent. This latest effort will expand by 100 the number of MVTC™ units fielded by the National Guard at selected mobilization and additional training sites; provide numerous new terrains on which to train our soldiers; and provide field-training support by our in-house experts at any installation requesting it.  “Our MVTC™ training system continues to be one of the few selected virtual training methods for the Army National Guard,” commented Dr. Ken Whitmore, President/CEO. “MVTC™ stands alone as a low-cost effective simulation product that allows a solider to make independent decisions on a mission and see the cause and effect in a virtual environment”.

New, additional MVTC ™ simulation modules are in continual development which depicts tactics and terrains that are currently found in overseas theaters of conflict. These terrains and modules are designed to provide the Army National Guard with extremely relevant and realistic training exercises just prior to their mobilization and overseas deployment. Currently in development are virtual terrains for Ft. Chaffee Arkansas,  and other home station training areas which will be used with other ARNG planned training exercises including Coalescent’s participation in the eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) event with team mates SRI International and Cubic Corporation.
