Coalescent Receives $2M U.S. Marine Corps Contract

Orlando, Florida, August 28, 2006 - Coalescent Technologies Corporation announced the award of $2M in new military funding for the analysis, refurbishment and re-certification of U.S. Marine Corps Chemical Agent Monitors (CAM). This work is underway in Coalescent’s Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) maintenance facility in Orlando, FL.

The CAM is an advanced point-sampling, chemical agent detection system that monitors the atmosphere for the low-level presence of nerve and mustard agents using IMS technology. CAMs are typically hand-held and also utilized by personnel within the departments of Homeland Defense, the National Guard, and our Joint Services.

These IMS systems require periodic assessment and refurbishment of key internal components to ensure proper operation in the field. Coalescent Technologies is one of the industry’s technical leaders in providing complete analytical, engineering, chemical and electronic maintenance services for these sophisticated systems.
