Virtual Fleet Support Contract Awarded to
Coalescent Technologies Corporation

Orlando, FL, October 28, 2005 – Coalescent Technologies Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a $6,135,444 Task Order for the Services in Support of Virtual Fleet Support, System Maintenance, and Enhancements.  This Task Order was awarded under the Navy’s nation-wide Seaport-Enhanced contract.  This is Coalescent’s third Task Order award under the Seaport-Enhanced contract.

Under this Task Order, Coalescent Technologies and subcontractor, Garcia Information Systems, will support the Cartridge Actuated Devices (CADs) and Propellant Actuated Devices (PADs) Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWCINDIV) in the following areas:

  • Information Technology support services;
  • Systems configuration and integration;
  • Knowledge management; and,
  • Associated application development as necessary to increase and enhance the functionality and stability of the previously implemented Virtual Fleet Support (VFS) modules and Internet/Intranet web sites.

The Navy Seaport -e contract has an initial period of five (5) years with two (2) additional five-year options, potentially taking it through the year of 2018.  Coalescent has been awarded a nation-wide ceiling of $7.9 billion dollars total (potential) revenue in the first five-year period, and a total evaluated maximum contract value of slightly over $27 billion dollars if the government exercises all contract option periods.

Regarding this win, Coalescent President, Ken Whitmore, remarked:  “Coalescent has worked very hard to build and sustain our outstanding technical capabilities and reputation.  On this effort, we are also fortunate to have Garcia Information Systems join us.  Garcia is a long-time, extraordinarily talented, and responsive subcontractor.  The teaming of Coalescent and Garcia is a formidable alliance that was recognized by the Government on this solicitation.  We are very pleased for our continued opportunity to support NSWC Indian Head and the CAD/PAD Department.  We are also excited about another Seaport-e Task Order win and the recognition of our hard work and dedication to our Department of the Navy customers.”
