Orlando, Florida, December 3,
2004 – Coalescent
Technologies Corporation announced
today that it has been awarded a
Prime contract position within the
Navy’s nation-wide Seaport-Enhanced
contract. As a “Multiple Award
Contract” (MAC), Coalescent will now
compete with other Seaport-e Prime
Contractors for specific work tasks
in the National Capital Region and
the Gulf Coast Region.
The “massive” Navy Seaport -e
contract has an initial period of
five (5) years with two (2)
additional five-year options,
potentially taking it through the
year of 2018.
Although actual funding to prime
contractors must be competed and
awarded by each Warfare Center,
Coalescent has been awarded a
nation-wide ceiling of $ 7.9 billion
dollars total (potential) revenue in
the first five-year period, and a
total evaluated maximum contract
value of slightly over $ 27 billion
dollars if the government exercises
all contract option periods.
The contract will be used by all
Navy shore-based activities for
“Engineering, Technical, and
Programmatic Support Services”.
Although this contract is primarily
in support of Navy Program Offices,
services under this contract will be
available throughout the Department
of Defense (DoD). Members of the
Coalescent Team include Whitney
Bradley and Brown (WB&B), and Armed
Forces Training Systems, Inc. as
authorized subcontractors.
Ken Whitmore, President and CEO of
Coalescent commented,” The new
Seaport-e omnibus contract will be a
key factor in reducing the existing
limitations for our continued rapid
growth as a company. We have
numerous experiences in the recent
past where business opportunities
with Department of Defense clients
were lost due to limiting factors
within our smaller Navy contracts.
Seaport-e, as a contract, finally
appears to substantially reduce
these limitations.”
Coalescent Technologies Corporation
currently maintains offices at two
of the Warfare Centers- the NSWC
Panama City, Florida and the Indian
Head Division of NSWC in Maryland.
Both are positioned to serve the
technical needs of the Navy through
this Seaport-Enhanced prime
contract.
