Orlando, FL. June 10, 2004 –
Coalescent Technologies
Corporation announced the follow-on
contract award of Instructional
Systems Development (ISD) for the
Mine Clearing/ Survivable Vehicle (MCSV).
The MCSV is being developed by the
Humanitarian De-mining Research and
Development program within the Night
Vision & Electronic Sensors
Directorate (NVESD) of the U.S.
Department of Defense.
Tens of millions of land mines,
anti-personnel mines, and unexploded
ordinance remain operative after
armed military conflicts and pose
great danger to civilian
populations, in many countries
throughout the world. The detection,
and safe removal of these land mines
poses a great technical challenge to
affected countries. The objective of
the Humanitarian De-mining Program
is to develop vehicles and
technologies that can safely remove
anti-personnel mines using specially
modified, ruggedized commercial
equipment.

Coalescent
Technologies has been contracted to
assist the Department of Defense
with this program, to perform the
training systems analysis, develop
Operator and Maintenance procedures,
and develop both video-based and
computer-based instructional media
for the humanitarian de-mining
equipment.
