Chemical,
Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and
Explosives – Virtual Attack System (CBRNE-VAS™)
is a three-dimensional training environment
providing team members small unit tactics
and practice in a CBRNE environment. Working
with the Department of Defense (DoD) and
Northrop Grumman, Coalescent Technologies
debuted the 3D Visualization Prototype for
the Joint Warning and Reporting Network (JWARN)
Joint Component Interface Device (JCID) at
the Joint CBRN Chemical Conference (June
2006). This debut represents a major
advancement in our military training system
applications.

CBRNE-VAS™
specifically addresses the training
requirements of Military personnel
actively working in the field. By
simulating CBRNE incidents, PC-based
Virtual Training helps enhance
judgment and decision-making skills.
The CBRNE-VAS™ training system helps
Military personnel recognize
potential problems, find preemptive
solutions, and greatly improve
effectiveness in dealing with CBRNE
situations.
CBRNE-VAS™ provides a multi-player,
common virtual environment for
practice using the JWARN Mission
Application Software (JMAS) and
CBRNE incident response that has
never before been available in a
simulation. Terrains, models,
scenarios, and missions can be
specifically focused on meeting unit
training objectives using the
multi-player rehearsal capability in
an appropriate and realistically
modeled operating environment. When
training is completed, the CBRNE-VAS™
training system includes a
comprehensive After Action Review
(AAR) playback feature. |
The CBRNE-VAS™
training system was specifically
developed to communicate with JWARN
through the Command and Control Personal
Computer (C2PC) system. Virtual
simulated attacks are reported in
real-time within CBRNE-VAS™, appropriate
reports are generated, and then sent
across a network to either another JWARN
C2PC system or another system running
CBRNE-VAS™.
